Als in einem kleinen Familienzirkus die junge Artistin Marlene tot in ihrem Bauwagen aufgefunden wird, begibt sich Jonathan mit den Ermittlern zum Tatort.F\u00fcr die Polizisten ist schnell klar: das ganze ist nur ein tragischer Unfall. Jonathan jedoch bemerkt mysteri\u00f6se Lebenszeichen bei der Untersuchung der Leiche und beschlie\u00dft, zu bleiben, um auf eigene Faust zu ermitteln.<\/p>\n<p>Verschiedene Indizien treiben Jonathan tief in die verstrickte Welt der Artisten und immer manischer steigert er sich in Verschw\u00f6rungstheorien und Bezichtigungen hinein. Hat Sie der zwielichtige Magier Jaques vergiftet? Der aufdringliche Clown? Der labile Direktor? Er verst\u00f6\u00dft sogar Veronique, der Zwillingsschwester Marlenes, welche als Einzige versucht, den hartherzigen Ermittler in die mystische, verspielte und spirituelle Welt ihrer Familie einzuf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n<p>Als schlie\u00dflich auch noch die Leiche spurlos verschwindet, zersplittert Jonathans rationale und geordnete Welt in tausend Teile.
